UK Trailer Parts is one of the few large importers of T.I.R Cord / T.I.R Cable in the UK. TIR Cord is used for security and custom sealing of heavy goods trailers. The TIR cord runs around the outside of the trailer fitting through the curtain buckles so the trailer can not be tampered with without being noticed.
TIR cable ( P.V.C. coated wire ) is available in either 6mm or 8mm sizes, it comes complete fitted with security ends ready to take custom seals. Any size can be made to order; the sizes detailed below are available from stock. We also have 6mm or 8mm P.V.C. coated wire in 500mt reel form.
We also stock STNG Cord (34mt lenghts), this is similar to TIR Cord but does not comply with the same regulations as the TIR Cord but is cheaper alternative depending where it is used.
